About
Ezgi Akgürgen
Singer. Songwriter. Performer. Voice Teacher.
Rooted in Cyprus, heard in every note
A self-taught singer-songwriter from Nicosia, Cyprus, Ezgi Akgürgen has been performing professionally since 2011. Drawn to music from an early age, she found her voice across genres — pop, R&B, soul, jazz — singing in both Turkish and English, always searching for the emotional truth in a song.
Over more than a decade on stage, she has built a reputation as a performer who brings depth and intention to every performance — whether fronting a band at an outdoor festival, lending her voice to a studio recording, or standing alone at a microphone in an intimate venue.

Why music matters
I want my songs to reach the people who need them — the ones who are still finding the courage to be exactly who they are.
Ezgi's songs are a reflection of her inner world — exploring mental and emotional struggles, and the healing found through self-acceptance and self-compassion. Her writing is honest, sometimes raw, always human.
In everything she does, Ezgi hopes to inspire artists and people from minority groups to have the courage to follow their dreams, embrace who they are, and come together with "the other". Music, for her, is not just art — it is a bridge.
Fengaros Music Village 2024
